1 Samuel 27:1

SV	David nu zeide in zijn hart: Nu zal ik een der dagen door Sauls hand omkomen; mij is niet beter, dan dat ik haastelijk ontkome in het land der Filistijnen, opdat Saul van mij de hoop verlieze, om mij meer te zoeken in de ganse landpale van Israël; zo zal ik ontkomen uit zijn hand.
WLC	וַיֹּ֤אמֶר דָּוִד֙ אֶל־לִבֹּ֔ו עַתָּ֛ה אֶסָּפֶ֥ה יֹום־אֶחָ֖ד בְּיַד־שָׁא֑וּל אֵֽין־לִ֨י טֹ֜וב כִּ֣י הִמָּלֵ֥ט אִמָּלֵ֣ט ׀ אֶל־אֶ֣רֶץ פְּלִשְׁתִּ֗ים וְנֹואַ֨שׁ מִמֶּ֤נִּי שָׁאוּל֙ לְבַקְשֵׁ֤נִי עֹוד֙ בְּכָל־גְּב֣וּל יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְנִמְלַטְתִּ֖י מִיָּדֹֽו׃
Trans.	wayyō’mer dāwiḏ ’el-libwō ‘atâ ’essāfeh ywōm-’eḥāḏ bəyaḏ-šā’ûl ’ên-lî ṭwōḇ kî himmālēṭ ’immālēṭ ’el-’ereṣ pəlišətîm wənwō’aš mimmennî šā’ûl ləḇaqəšēnî ‘wōḏ bəḵāl-gəḇûl yiśərā’ēl wəniməlaṭətî mîyāḏwō:

AC	א ויאמר דוד אל לבו עתה אספה יום אחד ביד שאול אין לי טוב כי המלט אמלט אל ארץ פלשתים ונואש ממני שאול לבקשני עוד בכל גבול ישראל ונמלטתי מידו
ASV	And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul: there is nothing better for me than that I should escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul will despair of me, to seek me any more in all the borders of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand.
BE	And David said to himself, Some day death will come to me by the hand of Saul: the only thing for me to do is to get away into the land of the Philistines; then Saul will give up hope of taking me in any part of the land of Israel: and so I may be able to get away from him.
Darby	And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul: there is nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul will despair of me to seek me any more within all the limits of Israel, and I shall escape out of his hand.
ELB05	Und David sprach in seinem Herzen: Nun werde ich eines Tages durch die Hand Sauls umkommen; mir ist nichts besser, als daß ich eilends in das Land der Philister entrinne, und Saul wird von mir ablassen, mich ferner in allen Grenzen Israels zu suchen; und ich werde aus seiner Hand entrinnen.
LSG	David dit en lui-même: je périrai un jour par la main de Saül; il n'y a rien de mieux pour moi que de me réfugier au pays des Philistins, afin que Saül renonce à me chercher encore dans tout le territoire d'Israël; ainsi j'échapperai à sa main.
Sch	David aber sprach zu seinem Herzen: Ich werde doch eines Tages Saul in die Hände fallen! Es ist nichts besser für mich, als daß ich in der Philister Land entrinne, so wird Saul davon ablassen, mich forthin in allen Landmarken Israels zu suchen, und so werde ich seiner Hand entrinnen.
Web	And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul: there is nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul will despair of me, to seek me any more in any border of Israel; so shall I escape from his hand.
